To Stay Focused at Work, Try These Simple Movements!

Sitting all day in front of your work desk and laptop often makes your body feel stiff. That's why exercise is essential for those of us whose jobs require constant sitting. But there's always some excuse not to exercise, ranging from not having time, being chased by deadlines, to never-ending online meetings. However, exercise is important not only for keeping your physical condition fit but also for maintaining sharp concentration. Let's try these small exercises when you have to be in front of a laptop continuously so you can stay focused on your tasks.


1. Tricep Stretch


Raise one arm to the side of your head and bend it until your hand reaches the opposite shoulder. Then use your other hand to pull your elbow towards your head, and hold this movement for 10-30 seconds. Repeat for the other arm.


2.Neck Stretch


Position your head downwards or tilt it, then make a clockwise rotation and repeat it counterclockwise. Perform this movement for 10 seconds and repeat it 3 times in each direction.


3. Shoulder Stretch


Join both hands and position them behind your back, then pull back while puffing your chest forward and raising your chin. Hold this movement for 10-30 seconds.


4. Squat 


From a seated position, lift your hips above the chair. Stretch your arms to maintain balance. Hold this movement for 2-3 seconds, then stand up straight. Repeat this 16 times.


5. Dips


Make sure the chair is not moving. Place your hands in front on the edge of the chair, parallel to your hips. Move your hips forward on the chair and bend your elbows. Lower your body until your elbows are at a 90-degree angle. Push your body back up and repeat the movement up to 16 times.


6. Eye Exercise


In addition to doing these small movements, you can also exercise your eyes. Massaging your eyelids can increase your focus in front of the laptop! Here's how: rub your palms together until they feel warm, then place them on your eyelids. Voila! Your tired eyes will become focused again.
