Children, especially infants and toddlers, often get skin problems, one of which is heat rash in babies. There are several factors that cause it, from its imperfect endurance to its dirty environment. However, these skin diseases are usually mild and can heal on their own. Yet, some are serious and require direct treatment by a doctor.

In order for Moms to cope and prevent it well, Kodomo's friend will provide a list of some common skin diseases or problems that your children might have.

Heat rash

This type of heat rash is one of the most common skin problems experienced by almost every baby and child. Usually, this condition occurs because there is a blockage in the skin pores so that sweat cannot escape.

When this problem occurs, spots such as pimples will appear that fill your children's necks and head. However, the heat rash will disappear on its own. As a precaution, make sure your children wear comfortable clothing and absorb sweat so that the heat rash will not get worse, especially if Moms live in hot areas.

If they have this skin problem, don't panic, Moms. Try to clean the rash or heat rash with running water. Then use baby-specific soaps such as Kodomo Top Toe Wash Hair & Body Bath.

Moms can also sprinkle powder to reduce discomfort on the skin with Kodomo Baby Powder which has been clinically tested to effectively maintain baby's moisture and skin softness.

Diaper rash (diaper dermatitis)

Diaper rash is one of the skin problems that often occur in your children due to skin inflammation and often happen in the buttocks and thigh folds. Usually, this problem occurs due to too long a diaper or from diaper material that does not match the baby's skin.

Diaper rash is one form of irritant contact dermatitis. However, this skin disorder is usually limited to the location covered by the diaper only, so handling can be focused on that area.

To prevent diaper rash in your children, Moms can use Kodomo Antibacterial Wipes to clean your children's sensitive area. Kodomo Antibacterial Wipes has been tested to kill germs and bacteria in 5 seconds. The content of Tea Tree Oil and aloe vera in it also functions as an antiseptic that can cleanse the skin, contains no parabens, and is alcohol-free.

Baby's cradle cap

This skin problem often occurs in newborns up to three years of age. The condition is often characterized by the presence of thick white or yellow scales on the surface of the baby's scalp. The medical term for this condition is cradle cap or seborrheic dermatitis.

Although it is rare, this baby's cradle cap can appear in some other parts of the body, such as eyebrows, eyelids, ears, nasal folds, back of the neck, or armpits. In some cases, it can also make the skin yellowish. Nevertheless, the disease will usually go away on its own.

Eczema

Eczema or atopic dermatitis is a skin disease characterized by reddish and itchy skin. Generally, this skin disease is chronic, but it can subside on its own. In some children, eczema is often accompanied by asthma.

When eczema attacks to your children, Moms can do some things to relieve symptoms such as

  • Bathing your children in warm water and use baby-specific soaps that are soft as Kodomo Top To Toe Hair & Body Bath
  • Using a moisturizer on your children.
  • Avoiding them from eczema triggering factors, such as certain foods or skincare products.
  • Making sure they don't scratch itchy skin areas so they don't cause cuts or infections.

Well, if your children have any of the above skin problems, don't panic, Moms. Try to always keep your child's skin clean with products from Kodomo.
