The development of toothpaste over years began in 1800s It is probable that during the era, maintaining dental health using toothpaste was only done by the "Elite" community. For ordinary people, they must have had limited access and knowledge.

But, in England, a combination between betel nut and toothpaste was discovered. Along with the technology development, it began to be mixed with ground charcoal.

Until 1945 when Europe was very advanced in the industry, some inventors mixed toothpaste with soap.

But after that time, soap was replaced with other ingredients to make the paste into a smooth paste or an emulsion-like sodium lauryl sulfate, a common ingredient in today's kinds of toothpaste.

Until the 20th century, it was developed to help prevent or treat certain diseases and conditions such as dental sensitivity.

Toothpaste with fluoride had been discovered to help prevent decaying and was introduced in 1914.

Toothpaste with low abrasiveness was also developed for the purpose of preventing problems caused by brushing teeth too hard.

Before 1850s, ‘toothpaste’ was usually powdered. The new toothpaste could finally be packed in a jar named Toothpaste Crème which was developed in 1873.

Then, an American product was introduced as the world's first toothpaste in a tube similar to modern-day toothpaste tubes which are now known as a place for toothpaste in 1890s.

In the modern era, Indonesian people are given many options to choose toothpaste that is suitable for them.

ZACT toothpaste is an option for those of you who have the habit of drinking coffee, tea, and who are smoker.
